Golf czar Tiger Woods will pay his estranged wife Elin Nordegren $750 million (approximately 920 billion won) in divorce settlement, according to Fox News in its website Thursday. This is the biggest payout in celebrity divorce history.

Fox News reported that Nordegren is to receive the huge amount along with full custody of her two children in exchange for her silence on Woods’ cheating ways.

In the legal documents, it is agreed upon that Woods is not allowed to bring any women around his two children, Fox News reported. Woods shares "legal" custody, meaning that all major decisions (like moving out of the country) have to be mutually agreed upon by Woods and Nordegren, it reported.

"Woods will be able to see the kids for up to half of each week. He can renegotiate the custody agreement in five years," Fox News reported.

On the other hand, Elin is not permitted to speak publicly about Woods' numerous mistresses.
"Tiger's main fear is her telling her story after he's rebuilt his reputation, sending him back to the gutter,” an Elin’s friend was quoted as saying.

"The price of the huge sum is her silence: no interviews, tell-all books, or TV appearances about this for the rest of her life ― even if Tiger dies first ― or she'll lose the lot," the unnamed friend is quoted as saying.

골프 황제 타이거 우즈가 7억5000만달러(약 9200억원)의 이혼 위자료를 아내 엘린 노르데그린에게 지급하기로 합의했다고 미국 폭스뉴스 인터넷판이 목요일 (한국 시간)전했다. 이는 유명인사 이혼 사상 최고 액수라고 전했다.

폭스뉴스는 노르데그린이 우즈의 외도에 관해 침묵하는 대가로 아이 양육권과 7억5000만달러의 위자료를 받게 된다고 보도했다.

타이거 우즈는 자신의 여자친구 등 어느 여자도 두 자녀 가까이 접근하지 못하도록 한다는 데에 동의했다.

노르데그린은 물리적 양육권을 독점하지만 법적 양육권은 두 사람이 나눠 갖게 되며 5년 후에 양육권에 대해 다시 협상할 수 있게 된다. 우즈는 1주일의 최대 절반까지 아이들을 만날 수 있다.

한편, 엘린은 우즈의 많은 불륜녀들에 대해 공개적으로 떠벌리지 않는다는데 합의했다.

엘린의 한 친구는 “우즈가 제일 두려워하는 것은 자신이 명성을 되찾은 뒤 자신의 이야기를 해 자신을 다시 구렁텅이에 빠뜨리는 것”이라고 말했다

“이 같은 거금은 그녀의 입을 막아두기 위한 것이다. 즉 우즈가 먼저 죽는다 해도 그녀의 생애 동안 이와 관련 인터뷰, 서적 출판, TV 출연 등 일체를 못하도록 돼 있으며 그렇지 않으면 이 재산을 다 잃게 된다”고 익명을 요구한 친구의 말을 인용 보도했다
